brown sugar chicken!

I got this recipe from a friend, i am trying it tonight, but a few people have asked for it so here it is! thanks nicole for the recipe!!
Brown Sugar Chicken
--5-6 boneless, skinless breast halves (I like to cut them in half I think they absorb more of the flavor that way)--
1 cup brown sugar -
-1/4 cup lemon-lime soda -
-2/3 cup vinegar -
-3 cloves smashed and chopped garlic-
-2 T soy sauce -
-1 tsp ground black pepper
The Directions.Use a 5-6 quart crockpot for this recipe.Plop the chicken into your crockpot. Cover with the brown sugar, pepper, chopped garlic, and soy sauce. Add the vinegar, and pour in the soda. Cover and cook on low for 6-9 hours, or on high for 4-5. The chicken is done when it is cooked through and has reached desired consistency. The longer you cook it, the more tender it will be.Serve over a bowl of white rice with a ladle full of the broth.

Sweet Rice2 Tbsp olive oil4 cups logn grain white or brown rice
1 walla walla onion (or any sweet onion) finely chopped
1 Tbsp lime juice1
Tbsp cumin
1 tsp dried basil
1 14 oz can coconut milk
1/2 cup frozen orange juice concentrate
1 handful fresh chopped cilantro (optional)
6 cups water or chicken broth (I usually use a mix of both)Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add rice, onions, lime juice, cumin, and basil and saute until rice is lightly browned. Add the rest of the ingredients. Stir. Bring to a boil for 2 minutes, cover with a lid, and reduce heat. Simmer for 20 min.
